South Carolina Meeting
Join the Clay County Gator Club on Thursday, November 13th, as we get ready to take on South Carolina and the "Ole Ball Coach", Steve Spurrier. Sam Kouvaris will be our speaker, so be there early for a great seat. Sam is always one of Clay County's favorite speakers. Also, "The Farkles" make their annual trip from Tennessee. We will again have Great Gator door prizes and the 50/50 Raffle, along with Vendors providing the newest in Gator Gear.

Citadel Meeting
Join the Clay County Gator Club on Thursday, November 20th, as we get ready to take on Citadel. John James will be our speaker and as always will be very informative with news about Gator Boosters. We will again have Great Gator door prizes and the 50/50 Raffle, along with Vendors providing the newest in Gator Gear.

Florida State Game Watching Party
Join the Clay County Gator Club at Duke's Barbeque on Saturday, November 29th, as Our Gators take on that "Team Out West". Start time is TBA, with Game time being TBA. There will be food and drink specials. Duke's is located at 2574 County Road 220. Come get "Rowdy" with your fellow Clay Gators!

RECENT EVENTS
Kentucky and Georgia Meetings
The Clay County Gator Club recently welcomed Steve Russell for the Kentucky Meeting and David Lamm for the Georgia Meeting. We would like to thank both for providing insight on our Gators and the opponent for that week. The costume contest, during the Georgia Meeting was a great success, with many Gators dressing in their favorite Halloween costume. Also, many Gators walked away with Great Gator Door Prizes and there was two lucky 50/50 winners. Clay Gators want to also thank our meeting vendors for taking time to participate in our meetings.

Miami Meeting
The Clay County Gator Club welcomed Dan Hicken, prior to our Big win over the Canes!!! All who attended had a great time and Dan was as funny and witty as ever. Thanks to all who attended. Also a special thanks to our Vendors.

2008 Kickoff Meeting
August 26th, 2008
The 2008 Annual Kickoff Meeting was be held on Tuesday, August 26th. The club welcomed Mick Hubert, "The Voice of The Gators" and he entertained the big crowd, The Silent Auction raised $345 our Scholarship Fund, thank you to all who participated and bid on the great items The club would like to send a big thank you to all who donated items. What a great start to a special year!!!

2008 Annual Meeting
June 19th, 2008
The 2008 Annual Meeting was held Thursday, June 19th at 7:30. We conducted our Club Business and then Presented our 2008-2009 Clay County Gator Club Scholarships. The Clay County Gator Club is proudly awarded 13 scholarships, totaling $7,000.00. The six new scholarship winners are Caitlin Brown (Dan Robinson Memorial Scholarship), Alexandra Butler, John Stobbie, Katherine Wines, Michael McLeod, and Kevin McLeod. The seven renewal scholarship winners are Cassandra M. Bruey (Jack Lee Memorial Scholarship), Elizabeth LaBonne (Graham Spurrier Memorial Scholarship), Lauren Stobbie (Sandy Horne Memorial Scholarship), Heather N. Bias, Whitney E. Rosenberg, Katherine A. Roll and Lindsey A. Nix. We congratulate all of our scholarship winners and wish them great success in the upcoming school year.

Clay County Gator Club Scholarship Benefit Golf Tournament

The 10th Annual Clay County Gator Club Scholarship Golf Tournament on Thursday, April 23rd, was another Huge Success. With the help of all of our Sponsors and Players, the club raised over $5,200 for our scholarship fund! Thank You so much for your support of this event! 2008 International Gator Day
The Gator Club of Clay County celebrated International Gator Day 2008 on May 17th, by working on the Historic Clarke House Restoration Project in Orange Park. This Project is being completed in conjunction with the Clay County Sesquicentennial being held in 2008. A number of club members attended and worked hard repairing the House and grounds. Afterward, they enjoyed a fantastic lunch. The Clay County Gator Club also made a gift basket for the Gator/Noles challenge in support of The American Cancer Society. The Gators ended up Champs with a huge basket that was valued at $300. The Club thanks everyone that participated in International Gator Day 2008!!!

2008 Clay County Gator Club Night at the Dogs
Our 2008 Gator Club Night at the Dogs was a complete success!!! We raised $1,157 for our Scholarship Fund!! Which I think is a record. Thanks to all who attended. This money will fund 2 full scholarships. Fun was had by all and there where lots of prizes received. Thanks to Darlene and the Board for the event planning, decorations, door prizes, and silent auction items. A special thanks goes to Carol Sirdevan, the mother of one of our members, for the beautiful pink Gator Blanket that was hand made and donated for our Silent Auction.
